About Me

I have a passion for People. I always have….always will.   After graduating from the University of Missouri with an Industrial Engineering degree, I soon realized that I am NOT an engineer…at least not at heart.  I have always had an interest in people….in their lives, in their dreams, in their health and happiness.  This passion is what moved me into a career in Human Resources.  I am also an entrepreneur, and big-time believer in goal setting and achievement.  Frustrated by the corporate treadmill, an emerging realization that little was being done to expand and help others, and recognizing that I was “trading time for money,” I resigned from my great corporate career, and opened my executive search firm; Sanford Rose Associates – Brighton, in 2007.  My company has excelled, in spite of the recession and being based in the Detroit area and the downturn in the automotive sector.

A strong ENFJ on the Myer’s-Briggs scale, My personality as defined by Carl Jung is a person who is “externally focused, introspective, altruistic, positive and has excellent people skills. He places the utmost importance on helping others grow. He is warm and has a natural desire to be supportive and encouraging. Being charismatic and possessing excellent language skills, he does well in leadership roles. Brett, as well as most ENFJ’s, strives to enhance the lives of his human brethren.”

My passion is helping people.  I will continually, for a lifetime, expand my network of friends and other people in pursuit of ways I can help them improve their lives.

My purpose is to become increasingly effective in teaching, helping, coaching and inspiring people in ways in which to live a growing, balanced, healthy and happy life.

Being involved in “Executive Search” is a great occupation for Me, matching well with my talents and passions.  Having come from an engineering background, supplemented with an MBA and a growing career as an executive with 3M and then Alcoa, I have the experience and insights to relate well with hiring executives as well as those in transition.  My passion around personal growth and development, as well as my interest in mind-body connection and power of controlling one’s thinking add to my dimension as business owner, coach, and career/transition expert.
